Winemaker, Kelly Koch

Winemaker Kelly Koch grew up in the town of St. Helena, in the heart of Napa Valley, California. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis in Viticulture & Enology with a minor in French. Her resume includes experience at Beringer and Bouchaine Vineyards in Napa Valley, California and an internship at Maison Louis Jadot in Burgundy, France.

Kelly arrived on the North Fork of Long Island, New York in 2006. She has worked as Head Winemaker for Bedell Cellars and Macari Vineyards and currently makes wine for Terra Vite North Fork. She has been honored with many winemaking awards and recognitions including 90+ scores from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine & Spirits; medals from the New York Wine and Food Classic (including best in category and Winery of the Year), TexSom (including Gold Medals and Judges' Selection Award), and honors from Decanter.

In 2020 she was named one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 Tastemakers.

In 2021, 2022 and 2023 she was named “Best Winemaker” by Northforker Magazine.

She lives in Peconic with her husband Rob and two daughters, Haley and Zoey. Her daughters can often be found at the winery helping their mom!
